Grundy County is a county in the United States of Iowa. In 2000, the population was 12369. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 12183, making it the 62nd most populous county in Iowa. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 502.55 sq mi (1301.6 kmē), of which, 502.51 square miles (1301.49 kmē) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 28th smallest by total area among Iowa's county.
