Groveland City, Lake County, Florida is a city located in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 2360. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 7647, It is the 593rd largest by population in the U.S. state of Florida. The city encompasses an area of 3.02 miē (7.82 kmē ), of which, 2.63 square miles (6.81 kmē) of it is land and 0.39 square miles (1.01 kmē) of it is water, it is the 494th largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2360 people in the city, organized into 845 households, and 627 families living in the city. The population density was 897.1 people per square mile (346.37/kmē), it is Florida's 274th least densely populated city. There were 921 housing units at an average density of 350.2 per square mile (135.21/kmē). The average household size was 2.79 people, and the average family size was 3.23 people. Age range in the city was well distributed with 28.3% under the age of 18, 8.9% from 18 to 24, 27.5% from 25 to 44, 22.7% from 45 to 64, and 12.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 97.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 93 males.
