Groton City, Brown County, South Dakota is a city located in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. Groton City had an official population of 1356 in 2000. It is spread over 1.7 square miles (4.4 square kilometre), giving it the 73rd largest by total area among South Dakota.
