Grosse Pointe Shores Village is a city in the Wayne and Macomb counties, Michigan, United States. In 2000, city's population was 2823 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 2509, It is the 258th largest by population in the U.S. state of Michigan. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 19.24 square miles (49.83 square kilometre), of which, 1.14 square miles (2.95 square kilometre) of it is land and 18.09 square miles (46.85 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 41st largest by area in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is ranks first in the size of its inland waterways in Michigan.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2823 people, 1058 households, and 859 families residing in the city. The population density was 2470.6 people per square mile (953.9/kmē), making it the 109th most densely populated city in Michigan. There were 1096 housing units at an average density of 961.4 per square mile (371.2/kmē). The average household size was 2.67 persons, and the average family size was 3.01 persons. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 2648 White, 17 Black or African American, 7 American Indian, 115 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 24 from two or more races and 12 Ohter races.
