Grosse Ile Cdp is a census designated place located in Wayne County, Michigan, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. It is home to over 10894 people (2000 census). It is the 105th largest by population in the U.S. state of Michigan. The census designated place has a total area of 18.33 miē (47.47 kmē), of which, 9.61 square miles (24.89 kmē) of it is land and 8.72 square miles (22.58 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 42nd largest by total area in Michigan. It is ranks fifth in the size of its inland waterways in Michigan.
