Gretna Town is a town located in the Pittsylvania County, Virginia, United States. The town has a population of 1257 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 1192, It is the 228th largest in terms of population. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.09 square miles (2.82 sq km), of which, 1.07 square miles (2.77 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, it is the 93rd smallest by area in the U.S. state of Virginia.
