Gretna City is a city located in Gadsden County, Florida, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. The city has a population of 1709 as per the 2000 census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 1609, It is the 232nd smallest in terms of population. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.88 mi˛ (4.87 sq km), giving it the 273rd smallest by total area among Florida.
