Greer County is a county located in the United States of Oklahoma. In 2000, county's population was 6061 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 5713, making it Oklahoma's tenth smallest county. The county extends throughout a territory of 643.66 sq mi (1667.07 square kilometre ), of which, 639.36 square miles (1655.93 square kilometre) of it is land and 4.3 square miles (11.14 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 19th smallest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 6061 people in the county, organized into 2237 households, and 1442 families residing in the county. The population density was 9.5 people per square mile (3.67/kmē), it is the 14th least populated county in terms of population density. There were 2788 housing units at an average density of 4.4 per square mile (1.7/kmē). The average household size was 2.27 persons, and the average family size was 2.87 persons. In the county Population was distributed with 20% under the age of 18, 9.1% from 18 to 24, 28.4% from 25 to 44, 22.4% from 45 to 64, and 20% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 123.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 129.6 males. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 5713, The racial makeup of the county was 4783 White, 558 Black or African American, 191 American Indian, 18 Asian, 1 Native Hawaiian, and 162 from two or more races.
