Greenwood City is a one of the Hennepin County, Minnesota, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 729 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 812, making it the 401st most populous in Minnesota. The city encompasses an area of 0.6 sq mi (1.55 square kilometre ), of which, 0.35 square miles (0.91 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.25 square miles (0.65 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 204th smallest by total area among Minnesota.

As of the census of 2000, there were 729 people, 285 households, and 215 families residing in the city.
