Greenwich Village is a city located in the Washington County, New York, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 1902 inhabitants. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 1827, It is the 603rd largest by population in the U.S. state of New York. The city extends throughout a territory of 1.49 mi˛ (3.86 square kilometre ), it is the 649th largest by area in the U.S. state of New York.
