Greensboro City is a city located in Guilford County, North Carolina, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 223891 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 250642, It is North Carolina's third largest by population . The city has a total area of 109.25 square miles (282.96 kmē), of which, 104.71 square miles (271.2 kmē) of it is land and 4.54 square miles (11.76 kmē) of it is water, it is the fourth largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks third in the size of its inland waterways in North Carolina.
