Greene County is a United States county located in the United States of Tennessee. It is home to over 62909 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 66157, It is the 19th largest in terms of population. The county encompasses an area of 624.11 sq mi (1616.44 kmē ), of which, 621.69 square miles (1610.17 kmē) of it is land and 2.42 square miles (6.27 kmē) of it is water, making it Tennessee's seventh largest county by total area.
