Greene City is one of the city of Butler County, Iowa, located towards the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Greene City is home to 1099 inhabitants. The city extends throughout a territory of 1.15 miē (2.98 kmē ), of which, 1.09 square miles (2.82 kmē) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 kmē) of it is water, it is the 310th largest by area in the U.S. state of Iowa.
