It is the 71st largest by population in the U.S. state of Maryland. It has total area of 3.37 square miles (8.73 square kilometre), of which, 3.19 square miles (8.26 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.18 square miles (0.47 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 173rd largest by total area in Maryland.
