Green County, Kentucky is a county located in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. The population of county in 2000 stood at 11518 as per the Census data. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 288.78 mi˛ (747.94 square kilometre), of which, 288.66 square miles (747.63 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.12 square miles (0.31 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 70th largest by total area among Kentucky's county.
