Great Bend City is a one of the Barton County, Kansas, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 15345. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 15564, giving it the 24th largest population among Kansas. The city spans an area of 10.74 miē (27.82 kmē), of which, 10.63 square miles (27.53 kmē) of it is land and 0.11 square miles (0.28 kmē) of it is water, it is the 20th largest by area in the U.S. state of Kansas.
