The county extends throughout a territory of 2224.44 sq mi (5761.27 square kilometre ), of which, 1916.89 square miles (4964.72 square kilometre) of it is land and 307.55 square miles (796.55 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 13th largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks sixth in the size of its inland waterways in Washington.
