Granville Town is a town located in Monongalia County, West Virginia, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. As per the 2000 census, town has a population of 778 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 812, making it West Virginia's 180th largest. The town extends throughout a territory of 1.31 miē (3.39 kmē ), it is the 122nd largest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 778 people in the town, organized into 362 households, and 202 families living in the town. The population density was 592.2 people per square mile (228.65/kmē), it is 73rd least densely populated town in West Virginia. There were 430 housing units at an average density of 328.2 per square mile (126.72/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.15 persons, and the average family size was 2.81 persons. In the town the population was distributed as follows: 20.7% under the age of 18, 10.2% from 18 to 24, 30.2% from 25 to 44, 23.5% from 45 to 64, and 15.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 82.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 78.3 males. The median age is 36.1 years, The median age of males was 34.6 years, for females the median age was 38.2 years. The racial or ethnic makeup of the town was 746 White, 16 Black or African American, 4 American Indian, 3 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 9 from two or more races and Ohter races.
