Grangeville City, Idaho

Grangeville City is a city located in Idaho County, Idaho, in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 3228 inhabitants. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 3110, It is the 40th largest by population in the U.S. state of Idaho. The city spans an area of 1.36 sq mi (3.52 sq km), making it Idaho's 71st largest by total area.

The population density was 2366.4 people per square mile (913.67/kmē), giving it the 28th most densely populated city among the Idaho. There were 1474 housing units at an average density of 1083.8 per square mile (418.46/kmē). The average household size was 2.34 persons, and the average family size was 2.96 persons. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 25.8% under the age of 18, 5.6% from 18 to 24, 24% from 25 to 44, 24.3% from 45 to 64, and 20.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 87.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 83.1 males. The median age was 41.6 years, the median age of male residents at 39.3 and the median age of female residents at 43.6. The racial makeup of the city was 3110 White, 1 Black or African American, 37 American Indian, 9 Asian, 1 Native Hawaiian, 48 from two or more races and 22 Ohter races.
