Grand Isle County, Vermont is a county of the United States of Vermont. In 2000, the population was 6901. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 7729, It is the second smallest county by population in the U.S. state of Vermont. It has total area of 194.67 miē (504.19 kmē), of which, 82.62 square miles (213.98 kmē) of it is land and 112.06 square miles (290.23 kmē) of it is water, making it Vermont's smallest county by total area. It is ranks first in the size of its inland waterways in Vermont.

The population density was 83.5 people per square mile (32.24/kmē), it would be the third most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Vermont. For every 100 males there were 100.1 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 102.1 females. The July 2008 population estimate is 7729, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 97.21% White, 0.21% Black or African American, 0.74% American Indian, 0.56% Asian, 0.04% Native Hawaiian, and 1.26% from two or more races.
