Grand Haven City is a one of the Ottawa County, Michigan, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. In 2000, the population was 11168. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 10608, giving it the 104th largest population among Michigan. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 7.4 sq mi (19.17 square kilometre), of which, 5.81 square miles (15.05 square kilometre) of it is land and 1.6 square miles (4.14 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 93rd largest by area in the U.S. state of Michigan.

The population density was 1923.5 people per square mile (742.67/kmē), giving it the 151st most densely populated city among the Michigan.
