Grand Forks County, North Dakota is a county of the United States of North Dakota. The county has a population of 66109 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 66585, It is the third largest county by population in the U.S. state of North Dakota. It has total area of 1439.83 mi˛ (3729.14 square kilometre), of which, 1437.81 square miles (3723.91 square kilometre) of it is land and 2.02 square miles (5.23 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 18th largest in terms of geographical size.

The population density was 46 people per square mile (17.76/km˛), it is second most densely populated county in North Dakota. In the county the population was distributed as follows: 23.8% under the age of 18, 19.6% from 18 to 24, 28.8% from 25 to 44, 18.2% from 45 to 64, and 9.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 103.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102.3 males. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 66585, The racial makeup of the county was 61896 White, 1065 Black or African American, 1864 American Indian, 830 Asian, 51 Native Hawaiian, and 879 from two or more races.
