Graham County, Arizona is a county located in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 33489 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 36452, It is the third least populous county in the U.S. state of Arizona. It covers total area of 4641.14 square miles (12020.5 kmē), of which, 4629.32 square miles (11989.88 kmē) of it is land and 11.83 square miles (30.64 kmē) of it is water, it is the fourth smallest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks eighth in the size of its inland waterways in Arizona.

As of the census of 2000, there were 33489 people in the county, organized into 10116 households, and 7614 families residing in the county. The population density was 7.2 people per square mile (2.78/kmē), it is the 11th most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Arizona. There were 11430 housing units at an average density of 2.5 per square mile (0.97/kmē). The average household size was 2.99 and the average family size was 3.47. In the county the population was spread out, with 30.1% under the age of 18, 12% from 18 to 24, 27.3% from 25 to 44, 18.7% from 45 to 64, and 11.9% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 88.9 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 86.9 females. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 36452, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 80.93% White, 2.31% Black or African American, 15.02% American Indian, 0.59% Asian, 0.09% Native Hawaiian, and 1.05% from two or more races.
