Goshen County is a United States county located in the United States of Wyoming. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 12538 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 12072 in July 2008, It is 14th most populous county in Wyoming. The county extends throughout a territory of 2232.16 sq mi (5781.27 square kilometre ), of which, 2225.32 square miles (5763.55 square kilometre) of it is land and 6.84 square miles (17.72 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the fourth smallest by total area in Wyoming.

As of the census of 2000, there were 12538 people, 5061 households, and 3426 families living in the county. The population density was 5.6 people per square mile (2.16/kmē), it would be the seventh most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Wyoming. There were 5881 housing units at an average density of 2.6 per square mile (1/kmē). The average household size was 2.38 people, and the average family size was 2.9 people. The population's age distribution was 24.2% under the age of 18, 9.4% from 18 to 24, 24.3% from 25 to 44, 24.8% from 45 to 64, and 17.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 98.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95 males. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 12072, The racial makeup of the county was 11782 White, 29 Black or African American, 128 American Indian, 21 Asian, 17 Native Hawaiian, and 95 from two or more races.
