Goreville Village is a United States city located in the Johnson County, Illinois, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 938 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 972 in July 2008, giving it the 708th largest population among Illinois. The city has a total area of 1.64 square miles (4.25 kmē), of which, 1.63 square miles (4.22 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, it is the 511th largest by area in the U.S. state of Illinois.
