Gooding County is a county located in the United States of Idaho. The population of the county was 14155 as per the 2000 census data. Its population was estimated at 14295 in July 2008, It is Idaho's 21st most populous county. It covers total area of 733.84 mi˛ (1900.64 square kilometre), of which, 730.78 square miles (1892.71 square kilometre) of it is land and 3.06 square miles (7.93 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the ninth smallest by total area among Idaho's county.

As of the census of 2000, there were 14155 people in the county, organized into 5046 households, and 3719 families residing in the county. The population density was 19.4 people per square mile (7.49/km˛), it would be the 16th most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Idaho. There were 5505 housing units at an average density of 7.5 per square mile (2.9/km˛). The average household size was 2.76 persons, and the average family size was 3.22 persons. In the Gooding County, 29.6% of the population was under the age of 18, 8.7% were 18 to 24, 25.1% were 25 to 44, 21.2% were 45 to 64, and 15.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 104.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102 males. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 14295, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 13874 White, 48 Black or African American, 162 American Indian, 40 Asian, 8 Native Hawaiian, and 163 from two or more races.
