Golden Valley City, Hennepin County, Minnesota is a city located in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. The population of city in 2000 stood at 20281 as per the Census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 20344, giving it the 45th largest population among Minnesota. It has total area of 10.52 sq mi (27.25 sq km), of which, 10.23 square miles (26.5 sq km) of it is land and 0.29 square miles (0.75 sq km) of it is water, it is the 100th largest by area in the U.S. state of Minnesota.
