Godfrey Village is a city located in Madison County, Illinois, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 16286 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 17524, It is the 135th largest by population in the U.S. state of Illinois. The city encompasses an area of 36.17 sq mi (93.68 kmē ), of which, 34.48 square miles (89.3 kmē) of it is land and 1.69 square miles (4.38 kmē) of it is water, making it Illinois's eighth largest by total area. It is ranks tenth in the size of its inland waterways in Illinois.
