Glidden City is a one of the Carroll County, Iowa, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. The population of the city was 1253 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 1227, It is the 232nd most populous in the U.S. state of Iowa. Its area is just over 1.02 mi˛ (2.64 square kilometre), it is the 360th largest by area in the U.S. state of Iowa.
