It is the 228th most populous in the U.S. state of New York. The census designated place encompasses an area of 8.23 mi˛ (21.32 sq km ), of which, 8.09 square miles (20.95 sq km) of it is land and 0.14 square miles (0.36 sq km) of it is water, it is the 87th largest by area in the U.S. state of New York.
