Glen Carbon Village is a city located in Madison County, Illinois, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. It is home to over 10425 people (2000 census). In July 2008, its estimated population was 12607, giving it the 198th largest population among Illinois. The city spans an area of 7.46 mi˛ (19.32 sq km), of which, 7.42 square miles (19.22 sq km) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 sq km) of it is water, it is the 125th largest by area in the U.S. state of Illinois.
