Gladwin County is a one of the county from Michigan's 83 counties, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. The county has a population of 26023 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 25920, It is 56th most populous county in Michigan. The county has a total area of 516.43 square miles (1337.55 square kilometre), of which, 506.8 square miles (1312.61 square kilometre) of it is land and 9.63 square miles (24.94 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the second smallest in terms of geographical size.

The population density was 51.3 people per square mile (19.81/kmē), making its Michigan's 47th most densely populated county.
