Gladewater City is one of the city of Gregg and Upshur counties, Texas, located towards the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 6078 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 6275, It is the 291st largest by population in the U.S. state of Texas. The city comprises an area of 12.13 sq mi (31.42 kmē), of which, 11.61 square miles (30.07 kmē) of it is land and 0.53 square miles (1.37 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 190th largest by total area in Texas.
