Glacier County, Montana is a county of the United States of Montana. Glacier County had an official population of 13247 in 2000. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 13297, It is Montana's 13th most populous county. It covers total area of 3037.11 square miles (7866.08 kmē), of which, 2994.72 square miles (7756.29 kmē) of it is land and 42.39 square miles (109.79 kmē) of it is water, making it the 17th largest by size in Montana. It is ranks eighth in the size of its inland waterways in Montana.

The population density was 4.4 people per square mile (1.7/kmē), it is Montana's 19th most densely populated county. There were 5243 housing units at an average density of 1.8 per square mile (0.69/kmē). The average household size was 3.03 persons, and the average family size was 3.56 persons. In the county Age distribution was 34.9% under the age of 18, 9.1% from 18 to 24, 26.9% from 25 to 44, 19.9% from 45 to 64, and 9.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 97.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.1 males. In July 2008, its estimated population was 13297, The racial makeup of the county was 4536 White, 156 Black or African American, 8144 American Indian, 46 Asian, 13 Native Hawaiian, and 402 from two or more races.
