Gila County, Arizona is a county of the United States of Arizona. As of 2000 the population was 51335. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 52166, It is the 11th most populous county in the U.S. state of Arizona. The county comprises an area of 4795.74 miē (12420.91 kmē), of which, 4767.7 square miles (12348.29 kmē) of it is land and 28.03 square miles (72.6 kmē) of it is water, making it Arizona's 11th largest county by total area. It is ranks fourth in the size of its inland waterways in Arizona.

As of the census of 2000, there were 51335 people in the county, organized into 20140 households, and 14090 families residing in the county. The population density was 10.8 people per square mile (4.17/kmē), it is the ninth most populated county in terms of population density.
