Gettysburg City is a city located in the Potter County, South Dakota, United States. Gettysburg City had an official population of 1352 in 2000. In July 2008, its estimated population was 1058, giving it the 55th largest population among South Dakota. Its area is just over 1.86 square miles (4.82 sq km), making it South Dakota's 65th largest by total area.
