Gering City is a one of the Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, city's population was 7751 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 7679, It is the 22nd most populous in the U.S. state of Nebraska. The city comprises an area of 3.75 mi˛ (9.71 square kilometre), it is the 25th largest in terms of geographical size.
