Genoa City is a city located in Nance County, Nebraska, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 981 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 856, It is Nebraska's 124th largest by population . Its area is just over 0.8 sq mi (2.07 sq km), of which, 0.79 square miles (2.05 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 119th largest by total area in Nebraska.
