Geneva County is a United States county located in the United States of Alabama. It is home to over 25764 people (2000 census). According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 25882, making it Alabama's 41st largest county. The county encompasses an area of 578.9 square miles (1499.34 kmē ), of which, 576.28 square miles (1492.56 kmē) of it is land and 2.62 square miles (6.79 kmē) of it is water, making it Alabama's fifth smallest county by total area.

According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 25882, The racial makeup of the county was 22660 White, 2748 Black or African American, 207 American Indian, 41 Asian, 7 Native Hawaiian, and 219 from two or more races.
