Geneva City is one of the city of Kane County, Illinois, located towards the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 19515 inhabitants. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 24302, It is the 118th most populous in the U.S. state of Illinois. The city comprises an area of 8.58 sq mi (22.22 kmē), of which, 8.41 square miles (21.78 kmē) of it is land and 0.18 square miles (0.47 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 105th largest by total area in Illinois.

As of the census of 2000, there were 19515 people, 6718 households, and 5185 families living in the city. The population density was 2321.4 people per square mile (896.3/kmē), it would be the 227th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Illinois.
