Gays Mills Village is a city located in Crawford County, Wisconsin, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. The population of the city was 625 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 600, giving it the 174th smallest population among Wisconsin. The city extends throughout a territory of 4.62 mi˛ (11.97 square kilometre ), of which, 4.6 square miles (11.91 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 136th largest by area in the U.S. state of Wisconsin.

As of the census of 2000, there were 625 people, 76 households, and 48 families living in the city. The population density was 136 people per square mile (52.51/km˛), making it the 35th least densely populated city in Wisconsin. There were 289 housing units at an average density of 62.8 per square mile (24.25/km˛). It has an average household size was 2.39 persons, and the average family size was 3.04 persons. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 27% under the age of 18, 6.4% from 18 to 24, 25.1% from 25 to 44, 23% from 45 to 64, and 18.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 82.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 79.5 males. The median age of the city's population was 39.9 years, the median age of male residents at 38.3 and the median age of female residents at 41.6. The racial makeup of the city was 623 White, 1 Black or African American, American Indian, 1 Asian, Native Hawaiian, from two or more races and Ohter races.
