Gautier City is one of the city of Jackson County, Mississippi, located towards the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Gautier City is home to 11681 inhabitants. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 16306, making it Mississippi's 36th largest. Its area is just over 12.92 square miles (33.46 sq km), of which, 12.24 square miles (31.7 sq km) of it is land and 0.67 square miles (1.74 sq km) of it is water, it is the 45th largest by area in the U.S. state of Mississippi. It is ranks 17 in the size of its inland waterways in Mississippi.
