Gambell City is a city in the Nome Census Area, Alaska, United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Gambell City is home to 649 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 647, It is the 85th largest by population in the U.S. state of Alaska. It covers total area of 30.36 sq mi (78.63 square kilometre), of which, 10.9 square miles (28.23 square kilometre) of it is land and 19.46 square miles (50.4 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 156th largest in terms of geographical size.
