Galesville City is a city located in the Trempealeau County, Wisconsin, United States. The population of the city was 1427 as per the 2000 census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 1447, giving it the 300th largest population among Wisconsin. The city spans an area of 1.18 square miles (3.06 sq km), of which, 1.08 square miles (2.8 sq km) of it is land and 0.09 square miles (0.23 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 188th smallest by total area among Wisconsin.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1427 people, 76 households, and 48 families living in the city. The population density was 1316.8 people per square mile (508.42/kmē), making its Wisconsin's 165th most densely populated city. There were 648 housing units at an average density of 600 per square mile (231.66/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.26 persons, and the average family size was 2.97 persons. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 24.5% under the age of 18, 8.2% from 18 to 24, 25.5% from 25 to 44, 22.3% from 45 to 64, and 19.5% who were 65 or older. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 99.09% White, 0.14% Black or African American, 0.07% American Indian, 0.14% Asian, 0.07% Native Hawaiian, 0.42% from two or more races and 0.07% Other races.
