Galesburg City is a city in the Knox County, Illinois, United States. In 2000, city's population was 33706 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 31181, It is Illinois's 54th largest by population . It is spread over 17.07 square miles (44.21 kmē), of which, 16.9 square miles (43.77 kmē ) of it is land and 0.18 square miles (0.47 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 23rd largest by total area in Illinois.
