Galena City is a city located in the Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area, Alaska, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 675 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 599, making it Alaska's 83rd largest. The city spans an area of 23.97 sq mi (62.08 kmē), of which, 17.87 square miles (46.28 kmē) of it is land and 6.09 square miles (15.77 kmē) of it is water, it is the 171st largest by area in the U.S. state of Alaska.

As of the census of 2000, there were 675 people, 216 households, and 149 families living in the city. The population density was 37.8 people per square mile (14.59/kmē), it would be the 116th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Alaska.
