Fulton County, Kentucky is a county of the United States of Kentucky. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 7752 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 6855, making it the eighth least populous county in Kentucky. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 230.55 sq mi (597.12 square kilometre), of which, 208.95 square miles (541.18 square kilometre) of it is land and 21.6 square miles (55.94 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 26th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Kentucky. It is ranks tenth in the size of its inland waterways in Kentucky.

As of the census of 2000, there were 7752 people, 3237 households, and 2115 families living in the county. The population density was 37.1 people per square mile (14.32/kmē), it is Kentucky's 26th least densely populated county. There were 3697 housing units at an average density of 17.7 per square mile (6.83/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.32 persons, and the average family size was 2.92 persons. In the county Age distribution was 24.9% under the age of 18, 8.9% from 18 to 24, 25.5% from 25 to 44, 23.2% from 45 to 64, and 17.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 114.1 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 122 females. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 6855, The racial makeup of the county was 4943 White, 1798 Black or African American, 10 American Indian, 20 Asian, 0 Native Hawaiian, and 84 from two or more races.
