Fulton County is a county located in Indiana, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 20511. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 20319, making it Indiana's 22nd smallest county. The county comprises an area of 371.37 sq mi (961.84 kmē), of which, 368.51 square miles (954.44 kmē) of it is land and 2.87 square miles (7.43 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 28th smallest by total area in Indiana.

As of the census of 2000, there were 20511 people, 8082 households, and 5739 families residing in the county. The population density was 55.7 people per square mile (21.51/kmē), it is 22nd least densely populated county in Indiana. There were 9123 housing units at an average density of 24.8 per square mile (9.58/kmē). The average household size was 2.52 and the average family size was 2.99. In the county Population was distributed with 26% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 27.6% from 25 to 44, 23.3% from 45 to 64, and 15.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 97.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.4 males. In July 2008, its estimated population was 20319, The racial makeup of the county was 19741 White, 197 Black or African American, 84 American Indian, 81 Asian, 5 Native Hawaiian, and 211 from two or more races.
