Fulton County is a county located in the United States of Georgia. The population of county in 2000 stood at 816006 as per the Census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 1014932, It is Georgia's most populous county. Its area is just over 534.61 sq mi (1384.63 sq km), of which, 528.66 square miles (1369.22 sq km) of it is land and 5.95 square miles (15.41 sq km) of it is water, making it the 21st largest by size in Georgia.

As of the census of 2000, there were 816006 people in the county, organized into 321242 households, and 185721 families living in the county. The population density was 1543.5 people per square mile (595.95/kmē), giving it the fourth most densely populated county among the Georgia. There were 348632 housing units at an average density of 659.5 per square mile (254.63/kmē). The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 3.15. In the county Age distribution was 24.4% under the age of 18, 11% from 18 to 24, 35.5% from 25 to 44, 20.7% from 45 to 64, and 8.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 103.1 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 105.3 females. Its population was estimated at 1014932 in July 2008, The racial makeup of the county was 51.17% White, 42.73% Black or African American, 0.39% American Indian, 4.25% Asian, 0.11% Native Hawaiian, and 1.35% from two or more races.
