Fulton City is a city located in Itawamba County, Mississippi, in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. The population of the city was 3882 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 4073, It is Mississippi's 78th largest by population . It is spread over 8.86 square miles (22.95 sq km), of which, 8.62 square miles (22.33 sq km ) of it is land and 0.23 square miles (0.6 sq km) of it is water, making it Mississippi's 69th largest by total area.

The population density was 450.3 people per square mile (173.86/kmē), it is 203rd most densely populated city in Mississippi. There were 1508 housing units at an average density of 174.9 per square mile (67.53/kmē). The average household size was 2.29 and the average family size was 2.88. The median age is 34.9 years, the median age of male residents at 30.6 and the median age of female residents at 38.9. The racial makeup of the city was 3249 White, 567 Black or African American, 9 American Indian, 20 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 26 from two or more races and 11 Ohter races.
